Our allotment: early April

I’m also going to try and post photos of our allotment, so that we have a record of how it looks over the year.

There’s a long waiting list for allotments, and you get chucked off if you don’t use it! We’ve planted as much as possible now so that it looks under cultivation, just in case we don’t get over there much in the next few weeks . . .

Last autumn we planted strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, broad beans and garlic. Over the last couple of weeks we’ve added potatoes, leeks, lettuce, spinach, beetroot, parsley and coriander. We’ve already picked some rhubarb, and I’m very proud of my one white tulip.
